It’s Thursday today which means were one day closer to the weekend and I can’t say the weekend can’t come soon enough. Football season is starting soon so I’m sure everyone is excited about that. Just a couple more weeks, but in the meantime lets continue to focus on baseball to help pass the time.

Good morning everyone!

It was a hectic weekend so I didn’t get a chance to put any picks up, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to take a breather from the sub-par week. Friday’s result didn’t help either going 0-3. My worst day by far. But that’s sports picking for you though, you’re going to have bad weeks, but you got to keep on keeping on.

Last week wasn’t my best of weeks so lets try to start the week off with a win. It seems as the weeks progress the lines become tighter and tighter everyday.

Nothing quite like some Saturday baseball. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it on in time to hit any of the earlier games but here’s the afternoon pick.

MLB Thursday Pick – May 26, 2011

For Tuesday’s game we took the Arizona Diamondbacks for the first 5 innings against the Colorado Rockies. Unlike other sports, baseball allows you to choose straight action or pitcher requirement. Straight action means your bet is live regardless of any player changes. The pitcher requirement means that the pitchers announced to pitch actually pitch that game otherwise your bet is cancelled. Since I’m only betting the first 5th and my picks are heavily based on the pitching match-up, it would defeat the purpose of the strategy if I didn’t take the second option. That was exactly the case on Tuesday when La Rosa pitched instead of Cachin and the Rockies scored 2 killer runs to pull away for a one run lead at the bottom of the 5th. Thank our lucky stars.

While we wipe the sweat from our foreheads, let’s look ahead at today’s games.

Wednesday Night Pick Recap – November 10, 2010:

Greetings Friends,

 

So we are pretty much where we were the night before as (2-0-1) as the game ended in a PUSH. That’s right the Red Falcons were styling a 14 point lead until the 4^th Quarter when then they just felt content running the ball deep into BG’s endzone and returning on downs, I guess they were not in the mood for a pile on. You can do these things so long without giving the other team a new wind. That was the case and the Falcons summoned a semi-comeback staying short by exactly 3 points.

Monday Night Pick Recap (1-0) – November 8, 2010:

Greetings all,

After a 27 point first half we anticipated much more scoring on this game, however the 3^rd quarter was null points-wise as the Bengals missed yet another field goal, but points came in clusters as the 4^th Q gift wrapped 21 consecutive points 7 by the Steelers and 14 from the Bengals end.

10 minutes into the 4^th we had already won, how good does that feel?!

Tuesday Night Pick Recap (1-0) – November 9, 2010:

It’s yet another very pleasant Wednesday morning as we wake up winners from the day before. And what a better feeling that knowing you have an extra source discretional income coming your way from your bookie or sportsbook (depending on your location J ).

So this is our second consecutive winning day for this week (12^th in a row counting last week). I am wondering if I am spoiling all of you giving out these winners for free, but for the time being we’ll keep it that way, although we are appreciative of the ones that sent gifts to me. (Tommy thanks for the iPad, my wife enjoys it plenty).

So the Huskies covered their -11 spread by halftime last night 28-0 and then kept their lead up to a 35 point differential which I understand also covered the 2H lines as well.
